Lady Palm (Rhapis Excelsa)
The Lady Palm (Rhapis Excelsa) is a graceful palm originates from southern China and Taiwan. They are commonly known as the Bamboo Palm or Broadleaf Lady Palm. Rhapis Excelsa produces large fan-shaped foliage on multiple stems and its long, glossy leaves makes it an attractive house plant.
Due to its high tolerance to low light and humidity conditions, the Lady Palm can adapt to various indoor growing environment, such as, dark corners, hall way and bathrooms.
The 42cm plants are just over 2 meters tall and are very lush. They make spectacular statement pieces. Style in a big empty corner indoors or outside undercover.
Size (Can grow to)
Large up to 4 meter tall when mature. A Lady Palm will grow to the size of its container, so if you want it to continue to grow, pot it up in a slightly bigger pot.
Bright Light. Lady Palms are easy to care for, as they tolerate bright and low light conditions, with little water. They are suitable for office situations or apartment living where they may receive a bit of neglect.
Low to Medium. Feed with a general fertiliser for indoor plants prior to the warmer months to maximize growth
