Hoya 'publicorolla subsp. anthracina' was previously named publicalyx 'Black Dragon'. This species was recently found in the Philippines and is a rarer variety. 

It produces long, strong running stems that are burgundy. The Hoya 'publicorolla subsp. anthracina grows clusters of 1.2cm large burgundy flowers in warmer months. Its fast-growing and hardy nature makes it a perfect beginner plant, or a gifting idea. 

As Hoya 'publicorolla subsp. anthracina' has a climbing habit, trim occasionally to control shape in growing seasons. 

These tropical indoor plant — often called a “Wax plant” due to its thick waxy leaves — is a classic because it lives forever, grows to be enormous, and creates beautiful, porcelain-like fragrant flower clusters (it’s also often called “Porcelain flower”).

Pet Friendly 

Although the Hoyas are non-toxic to cats or dogs, they can still make them sick. Large consumption of Hoya leaves can make cats or dogs vomit.
