Azure Touch (Azureocereus Hertlingianus) is a beautiful cactus endemic of Ande mountains of Peru. Its other common name include "Blue Cereus" as it is a gigantic columnar cactus. As a collectors' favourite, it has dramatic celeste-blue frosting covering when it is juvenile. It is one of the few cactus species that is really blue.
Azure Touch Cactus grows beautiful golden spines and soft and blooms white flowers up to 5cm across. They are quite common indoor, outdoor in patios, balconies or in garden beds. Due to their faster growth, these cacti are great choices for grafting slower growing cacti such as ariocarpus or mammillaria.
Yes, while most cacti plants aren't poisonous to your pet, the chemical composition of the cacti sap can cause gastrointestinal ailments to your little friends. Plant has spines; use extreme caution when handling. Stems may be cut an regrown.

Slow growing with plants eventually reaching 2 meters tall; growth in pots is much slower. Older plants will form one to two offsets from base over time.
Full sun or partially shaded. Best under protected partially shaded positions outdoors. Indoors only in sunny positions otherwise they will lose their nice shape in growth. Flowers only appear on older specimens. Frost tolerant.
Low. Requires good draining succulent soil. Can be watered all year long, however if kept indoors allow soil to completely dry out between watering. When fertilising, it is recommended that 25% of the suggested dosage is used during growing months (spring and summer).
