An Australian native palm from northern parts of QLD which has spectacular near circular leaves up to 2m in diameter. Best suited to growing in areas where there is some shade. It can be grown in subtropical regions provided the area is frost free and works great as an indoor plant.
The Australian Fan Palm is a stunning statement piece with elegant foliage and great resilient as a house plant. When grown in pots, it will remain compact; when grown in the garden, it can reach up to 20 meters. Plants will stay as a single stem unless it is cut and will then form branches.

Well lit spaces with part or full shade. Avoid full afternoon sun, early morning sun is ideal. Preferring a shaded position in the garden, this palm will also grow well in pots and containers making it a spectacular addition to your courtyard, patio or indoors.
Medium water. It is grown best in moist, well-drained soil. When the weather is dry and hot, mist spray the foliage several times a day. This will keep it cool and help deter pests. Palms love being taken outside regularly as it helps prevent pests, diseases and encourages photosynthesis.
