Hoya Indian Rope Collection #2
This is easily one of the most popular and highly sought after Hoyas. The Indian Rope Hoya is a slow growing cultivar producing long hanging stems with heavily twisted, pendant leaves giving the appearance of a thick rope. Porcelain star shaped, pink to red blossoms.
If you remember a vine creeping around your grandmother’s kitchen, chances are it was a Hoya plant. This tropical indoor plant — often called a “Wax plant” due to its thick waxy leaves — is a classic because it lives forever, grows to be enormous, and creates beautiful, porcelain-like fragrant flower clusters (it’s also often called “Porcelain flower”).
Although the Hoyas are non-toxic to cats or dogs, they can still make them sick. Large consumption of Hoya leaves can make cats or dogs vomit.
